I have been with Advanced Orthodontic Specialists since 2005. I began my career here as an orthodontic assistant. Upon my graduation from DePaul University with a Bachelors in public relations and advertising, I moved into my current role.  Currently, I am pursuing my MBA at Elmhurst College.  I feel that treating patients with the highest level of care is my greatest achievement. Patient education and excellent customer service is what Advanced Orthodontic Specialists is dedicated to. I grew up in Chicago and currently reside in the western suburbs. Nicole - Clinical Coordinator

I have been working with Advanced Orthodontic Specialists for over 4 years. While attending Elgin Community College in 2007 for Dental Assisting, I began working here. I really enjoy working alongside Dr. Bicknell and meeting new patients. Each of our patients is different, and I enjoy the uniqueness of each case. I enjoy working to make each patient feel welcome and comfortable with me and the practice. I strive each day to give all of our patients the highest quality of care, and love taking the opportunity to educate patients. I am originally from DeKalb, but currently live in South Elgin. In my time away from work I love to spend time with family and friends: playing games, watching movies, and going shopping. I also love to sing and spend time outdoors. Marisa - Scheduling Coordinator

After getting my cosmetology license and spending time at College of DuPage, I began working with AOS over 5 years ago. The thing I love most about my job here are the patients. We have such a great family of patients, and I try to make each one of their experiences here as pleasant as possible. I try to be as accommodating as I can: always asking if they have any questions I can help answer or offering them water. I want patients always leaving with a smile. I love spending my free time with friends and family. I currently reside in Des Plaines, but grew up in Bensenville where I still play basketball every week. Sharon - Scheduling Coordinator

I have been working in the orthodontic field for just over a year. In my time away from the office I enjoy practicing Pilates and yoga. I have also been a Realtor for the past 15 years. The thing I love most about working with Advanced Orthodontic Specialists is working in such a pleasant environment with a team of professionals who truly take pride in what they do, and it shows. Sarah - Treatment Coordinator

I graduated from Dominican University in 2005 with Degrees in Graphic Design and Communications. I have been working in the dental field for about about 2 years. I love working at Advanced Orthodontic Specialists because of the caring, energetic team that is passionate about their jobs. I work hard every day to guarantee each patient is treated like family: making them feel comfortable and making sure I am always available to answer questions. My hometown is Bartlett, but I currently live in Oak Forest. In my time away from the office I love to play tennis, draw, and run in 5Ks. I also love playing with my two dogs Bowser and Dublin. Alissa - Financial Coordinator

I enjoy working in such a nice office with all of the other great staff, and I look forward to coming to work each day. My educational background is in banking and education. I try to go above and beyond what I think a patient would expect in order to guarantee patient satisfaction. My hometown is Lombard, and I currently live in St. Charles. I have been working with AOS for over 2 years. I enjoy working in a high-tech and friendly environment. I love spending time with my son, Ethan, and family in my free time. I grew up in Cicero, and now live in Berwyn. 

Carmen - Clinical Assistant

I began my career in the field of orthodontics in January of 2008, when I began classes to become an assistant. I am currently taking classes at Oakton College, and I anticipate transferring to UIC. I love working at Advanced Orthodontic Specialists because I enjoy being able to work with the patients and develop a relationship with each individual. I am always willing to help anyone in any way I can. When I have free time away from the office and my studies, I like spending as much time as possible with family and friends. I grew up in Evanston and Chicago, and call Elmwood Park home today.
